No accounts, no forms
The site has no sign-up, login, comment or contact form. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.
Access logs
Like most websites, our web server records each request: IP address, browser (user agent), referring page, requested URL and time. We use these logs only to operate the site, investigate errors and protect it from abuse. They are not shared or sold.
Cookies set by the site
The site sets two technical cookies, traditional_colors_session and XSRF-TOKEN, which are needed for the web framework to work securely. They contain no personal details and expire after two hours.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the site (for example, which pages are read and which countries visitors come from). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on those visits.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s My Ad Center, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info.
We publish color pins to our own Pinterest account through the Pinterest API. The connection is used only to create pins and read our own boards; we do not access, collect or store information about Pinterest users. Links from our pins carry tracking parameters (such as utm_source=pinterest) so that we can count, in aggregate, visits that come from Pinterest.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site’s color pages, lists and tools keep working without advertising or analytics cookies.
